Your New Role

      Manager focusing on the reporting and analysis of Global Intercompany Eliminations.  Assists in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and related footnote disclosures for inclusion in the Warner Bros. Discovery quarterly and annual SEC filings ensuring results are in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.  Works with the Controllership groups to ensure adequate reconciliation of intercompany activity and explanation of submitted results. Responsible for communicating reporting requirements to internal partners and to obtain alignment on process efficiencies.

Your Role Accountabilities

Intercompany           

Manages monthly review of Consolidated Warner Bros. Discovery Intercompany receivables/payables, including distribution of outage report, question unusual activity, investigate large variances and resolution follow-up on previously identified issuesWork in multiple GL systems to report results, including researching and reconciliation of data in various legacy systemsResponsible for understanding and clearing Content Intercompany variances to the appropriate balance sheet accountEstablish companywide processes for the recording and reporting of Intercompany activity in multiple systems, (SAP S4/SAP/PeopleSoft/Oracle)Documentation and education of Intercompany processes across all accounting teamsEvaluate and provide guidance on new or unusual Intercompany activity, including treatment of timing differences between sister companiesOversight of all Trading Partner master data, including governance and approval of intercompany trading relationships in SAP S4repare audit and SOX processes related to Intercompany, including preparing and submitting of data to various platforms

Legal Entity Accounting

Provide assistance on various legal entity transactionsWork closely with the Tax department on structure changes, dividends and any other legal entity projectsEvaluate and provide guidance on required entries, accounts to be used, hierarchy structures in various GLs and any eliminations neededReview effect of transactions posted to ensure correct reportingOversight of all Company Code master data, including governance and approval in all systemsMonitor hCue for changes and follow up to ensure all changes are made in the applicable GL systems

Special Projects/Other

Lead other key projects and initiatives impacting reporting; collaborate with internal/external customers, business partners and peers to drive efficiencies in processes and effectively meet deliverables, as requiredProvide assistance/support to other areas within Consolidated Financial Reporting as needed

Qualifications & Experience

6+ years of experience in accounting and/or financeExperience with SAP, or other large ERP systemExtensive experience with Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, vlookups, macrosVariance analysis and reporting experienceBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance requiredCPA requiredKnowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Strong critical thinking and analytical skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsDetail oriented self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet routine and non-routine deadlinesHigh degree of motivation to deliver a quality productInitiative and willingness to take on additional responsibilitiesStrong organizational skills High emphasis on teamwork, collaboration, data analysis, and process innovationTeam player who embraces change
