Accounting Manager
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Wakefield, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with a strong background in financial management and leadership. The role involves overseeing financial operations, managing a small team, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the monthly financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Supervise and support two direct reports: Accounts Payable Clerk and Accounts Receivable Clerk. • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including financial reporting and analysis. • Utilize NetSuite to maintain and improve financial processes and systems. • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. • Collaborate with leadership to provide insights and recommendations based on financial data. • Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities. • Ensure proper internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets. • Support audits and other financial reviews as required. • Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and growth. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles. • Proficiency in NetSuite software for accounting and financial processes. • Strong knowledge of monthly closings and financial reporting. • Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. • Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
