Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Carrollton, Texas. This contract position involves overseeing accounting operations, including managing AP/AR staff and ensuring accurate financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to delivering results.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and support AP/AR team members, ensuring efficient workload management and timely processing.
• Record daily cash and credit card transactions across relevant general ledger accounts.
• Analyze cash flow and accounts receivable to ensure collection processes are optimized.
• Oversee weekly vendor payments, including check runs and remittance reviews.
• Prepare journal entries as part of the monthly financial statement close process.
• Conduct detailed financial reviews and analysis for the retail division.
• Reconcile and review balance sheet and bank accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Implement changes in accounting systems, including adding new accounts and store locations.
• Validate annual reporting, including tax schedules and ledger adjustments for tax compliance.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy, ensuring proper closing of yearly financial results. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably with CPA certification or actively pursuing it.
• Expertise in full-cycle accounting processes leading to financial statement completion.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a detail-oriented demeanor.
• Proven ability to solve complex problems and recommend effective solutions.
• Experience in performing reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis.
• Adaptability to dynamic work environments and commitment to process improvement.
