Accounting Manager
Description Robert Half Management Resources is partnered with a large organization in the real estate space in search of an interim Accounting Manager over the monthly accounting for a portfolio's of the firm's properties and to join their team located in Tampa, Florida for roughly 3 months with potential for longer depending on performance and workload with the ability to work in a HYBRID capacity (3 days in-office, 2 days remote). As the Property Accounting Manager, you will be entrusted with managing property accounting operations throughout the entirety of the accounting cycle and preparing financials. You will also be tasked with preparing ad hoc reports and coordinating with various teams within the organization. Responsibilities: • Manage property accounting operations, ensuring for accuracy and efficiency • Utilize accounting software systems, particularly Yardi Voyager, to perform various accounting functions • Collaborate with the SEC team and Corporate Accounting team for information sharing and preparing reports • Review journal entries for accuracy and completeness • Ensure effective communication within the team and with other departments • Oversee the processing of invoices using Yardi Payscan • Engage with the development teams for portfolio management • Provide support for internal reporting processes • Leverage your experience in property accounting to enhance operational efficiency. Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of 5-7 years of full cycle accounting experience • Prior, hands-on experience having utilized Yardi and/or MRI accounting software is mandatory • Experience & comfortability handling GL Maintenance, Month-End Close procedures, Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations, Variance Analysis, & Financial Statement Preparation is a must • Prior experience managing the accounting and financials for a portfolio of real estate developments / properties is required • Experience in Property / Real Estate Accounting is required, preferably out of a large company setting with knowledge of SOX Compliance & SEC Reporting • Ability to handle Internal Reporting proficiently Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
