Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Rochester, New York. This role will focus on overseeing key financial operations, including managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting and possess strong problem-solving skills to navigate the complexities of a global organization.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the preparation of profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other critical financial reports.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Verify payroll records, including adherence to prevailing wage standards.
• Lead month-end closing activities, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
• Participate in the integration of accounting systems, transitioning from Navision to Microsoft Business Central.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address multi-state accounting requirements.
• Maintain compliance with corporate financial policies and procedures.
• Offer insights and solutions to streamline accounting operations in a construction-focused environment.
• Provide guidance and support for financial audits.
• Act as a liaison between the U.S. team and international stakeholders, addressing challenges with professionalism.
Requirements
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, including general ledger, profit and loss, and financial reporting.
• Expertise in construction accounting, including familiarity with prevailing wage requirements.
• Proficiency in ERP systems
• Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close processes and journal entries.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to a global business environment.
• Experience with payroll verification and compliance.
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
