Financial Accounting Manager

The Financial Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the financial close process and related activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the related TJX Financial Statements, as well as presenting and providing analysis of these financial statements. The Financial Accounting Manager is also responsible for the hiring, supervision, and development of a team of accountants.
Manage the development and provide mentorship and training to 2 -3 Financial Accountants. Delegate work and assignments.Review journal entries, account reconciliations and complex accounting transactions to ensure accuracy of Financial StatementsReview and analyze Financial Statements and supporting schedules/disclosures – P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Forms 10-Q, 10-K, etc. with a focus on accuracy and timeliness and conformity with US GAAPEnsure control environment and SOX controls are maintainedOwn the oversight of special projects, management presentations and Ad Hoc requestsIndependently lead the accounting team in meetings with business partners on accounting mattersIdentify & implement opportunities for operational improvement & efficienciesResearch and interpret new and recently issued accounting standardsLead discussions with Internal and External auditors with related auditsWho We Are Looking For: You.

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
