Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This contract position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong expertise in accounting operations and financial systems within the metal fabrication industry. The role requires a proactive individual who can oversee financial processes, ensure compliance, and contribute to the efficient management of accounting activities. Responsibilities: • Oversee the daily operations of accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing. • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness. • Utilize ERP systems, such as Epicor, to streamline financial workflows and reporting. • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to align financial reporting with operational goals. • Implement and maintain accounting software systems to improve efficiency and accuracy. • Prepare detailed financial reports and analysis to support decision-making. • Monitor and reconcile financial transactions to maintain data integrity. • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team to drive performance and development. • Identify and implement process improvements within accounting practices. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting management with expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and auditing. • Proficiency in ERP systems, such as Epicor, and other accounting software. • Strong knowledge of manufacturing industry financial practices. • Ability to manage month-end and year-end closing processes effectively. • Familiarity with financial reporting and analysis tools. • Excellent organizational and leadership skills. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
