Accounting Manager
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and optimize financial operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting systems, financial reporting, and compliance, ensuring all processes align with industry standards. This role is based in San Francisco, California, and offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic team. Responsibilities: + Analyze and report production costs to ensure accurate tracking of manufacturing expenses. + Partner with operations to set and maintain cost standards, focusing on efficiency and cost control. + Manage the general ledger with timely, accurate recording of financial transactions. + Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity. + Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely transactions. + Troubleshoot discrepancies and improve payment processes in collaboration with the team. + Lead the monthly financial close to deliver accurate financial statements on time. + Analyze results and provide insights on performance and variances. + Supervise and mentor a junior accountant, promoting a collaborative, high-performing team culture. + Offer guidance on accounting policies, procedures, and best practices. + Serve as a financial advisor to the CEO, providing data-driven insights for decision-making. + Collaborate with departments to develop financial strategies aligned with company goals. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting or Finance preferred. + 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally with a focus on manufacturing and cost accounting. + Solid knowledge of general ledger management, account reconciliation, and month-end close processes. + Experience in the food manufacturing industry is a strong plus. + Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset. + Prior experience leading, mentoring, or supervising junior team members. + Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
