Responsibilities

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to play an important role in IGT's Global Assets team in Providence, RI (hybrid) within the Global Lottery Controllership organization. The successful candidate will join a newly established team to develop the initial creation of processes and guidelines related to software capitalization while starting a long-term career within an organization that values its employees. 

 

Reporting to the Director of Global Assets, this position is primarily responsible for supporting the newly established software capitalization process related to Lottery R&D software development projects. The support shall be in various areas such as establishing processes, system data mining and analysis, creation of journal entries as well as system enhancements for automation. 

 
Establish and manage the monthly process of software capitalization. Duties include:

Review and qualification of detail design documents, Compilation of project costs data to be utilized in software capitalization calculation.  Creation and/or review of journal entries Assist in system improvements to effect automation and efficiency of software capitalization.  Interacting with multiple levels of team members of the organization with-in Finance, Corporate Accounting, Global Lottery Accounting, Game Development and Technology, Information Technology, and others.  Facilitating to obtain and review proper supporting documentation to qualify development project activities for software capitalization.  Assisting and or leading accounting project Initiatives aimed at process improvements, best practices, and operational efficiency.  Coordinating, preparing and/or presenting key financial reports.  Assist in the coordination of annual audit and quarterly review activities of external auditors.  Other duties as assigned.  Qualifications Minimum of 7+ years of experience in accounting and prior experience with working in teams is highly preferred.  Experience in various accounting areas Advance proficient in MS Excel and Office & SAP experience preferred.  SOX and SEC reporting experience preferred. Understanding of U.S. audit rules and regulations preferred.  Highly detail oriented and organized; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.  Project management Strong communication skills.  Bachelor's degree; Masters preferred Advanced degree, CPA or special skill related to position or equivalent.  Keys to Success

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $74,961 - $164,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
