Benefits & Perks:Compensation: 90K to 100K + BonusPlease note, this is a hybrid model (1 to 2 times a week at the client’s Ottawa office).This is a permanent opportunity with 3 Weeks’ Vacation + Health & Dental Benefits + RRSP
Responsibilities:Monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet control accounts.Maintain the General Ledger and prepare monthly journal entries.Complete Payroll on a bi-weekly basis.Complete AP, AR, and Bank Reconciliations with different entities promptly.Prepare and manage financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards by profit centreDevelop, monitor, and report on company budgets and forecasts, collaborating with departments to meet financial goals.Monitor and manage company cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity and optimize financial performance.Implement and maintain strong internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with financial regulations.Ensure compliance with all tax obligations, including corporate tax, payroll tax, and other relevant filings, in collaboration with external advisors.Coordinate and prepare for external audits and internal reviews, providing necessary documentation.Support strategic decision-making by providing financial insights and recommendations on acquisitions, investments, and operations.Stay updated on changes in accounting principles, regulations, and industry standards to maintain compliance.Update corporate records with CRA
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.Must have over 5 years of experience in Full Cycle Accounting (PE GAAP) & Reporting, Bank Reconciliation with different entities, and month- end.Must have experience in Cost or Project Accounting.Must be Proficient in MS Office including Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, Formulas).Must have experience with Deltek products, specifically Ajera is an asset.
