Description We are in search of an Accounting Manager to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing general ledger accounts, preparing monthly financial statements, and ensuring timely and accurate billing and invoicing. Responsibilities: • Manage general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting • Prepare monthly financial statements for review and analysis • Ensure that billing and invoicing processes are carried out in a timely and accurate manner • Oversee collection efforts to maintain financial health of the organization • Assist in the preparation of budgets and analysis of cost records • Carry out monthly reconciliations with general ledger accounts • Establish objectives for the accounting and finance departments and implement activities to achieve these objectives • Monitor and update fixed asset records as needed • Analyze account coding usage for accuracy and efficiency • Serve as a backup for accounts payable and accounts receivable when necessary • Ensure accurate entry of payroll timesheets • Assist with various projects as assigned by the President and Controller • Supervise and direct employees within the accounting/payroll department to ensure effective performance of duties. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Previous involvement in Auditing activities • Ability to handle Billing Functions effectively • Experience with Fixed Asset Accounting • Knowledge of Fixed Assets management • Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations • Ability to manage the General Ledger • Experience in Month End Close procedures Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
