Basic Job Functions:
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the coordination, oversight, and execution of Vulcraft of New Yorks accounting, reporting, and internal control activities. This role reports directly to the division Controller and serves as a backup for the Controller, Accountants, Accounts Payable, Credit Analyst and other Finance Department roles, as needed. This role is considered a developmental role. The successful candidate will be expected to be ready to move into a Department Manager role within 3-5 years which may include relocating.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Coordinate and execute accounting activities, including general ledger, fixed assets, accounts payable, tax financial and compliance reporting, and inventory management.
+ Lead the implementation, communication, and interpretation of accounting and financial policies, ensuring GAAP compliance and system improvements.
+ Supervise audit processes to maintain proper internal controls.
+ Train, develop, and provide growth opportunities for finance department teammates.
+ Develop an in-depth understanding of the production environment and act as the financial liaison with the division management team.
+ Contribute to the development of teammates across all departments and be an active member of the division leadership team.

Compensation Data
Based salary range: $90,396.80 - $104,644.80
Vulcraft of New York offers a generous annual Return on Asset Bonus, with a potential range of up to 33%, with a 10 year average of 18.46%. Additionally, Nucor Corporation provides all teammates with an annual Profit-sharing bonus, which has a 10 year average of 15.29%.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or business
+ Minimum of 3 years work experience in a financial related position
+ Must be willing and able to relocate to take on further leadership responsibilities within Nucor, now, and in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ CPA and/or CMA
+ Masters Degree
+ Manufacturing or Cost Accounting experience
+ Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
+ SAP experience
+ Prior leadership experience
