ACCOUNTING MANAGER - Growth-Oriented, Family-Owned Company in Gwinnett County
My client, a growth-oriented and family-owned company in Duluth, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team for an immediate, direct hire opportunity. The Accounting Manager who will play a critical role in overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance, and managing payroll for all employees. This position requires a combination of strong accounting knowledge and expertise in payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
+ Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
+ Process and administer payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
+ Maintain accurate records of payroll deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings.
+ Ensure payroll data is entered accurately into the system and resolve any payroll discrepancies.
+ Prepare and submit required tax filings and reports (e.g., payroll tax returns, W-2s).
+ Develop and monitor internal controls and accounting procedures.
+ Collaborate with external auditors during year-end audits and provide necessary documentation.
+ Analyze financial data and assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
+ Assist with other accounting and financial tasks as needed.
Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
+ CPA or CPA track required.
+ Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years of experience in payroll processing.
+ Strong knowledge of accounting principles, payroll software, and financial reporting.
+ Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex).
+ In-depth understanding of payroll regulations and tax laws.
+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with employees and management.
+ Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
