About the OpportunityDigital Management, LLC (DMI), is seeking to hire an Accounting Manager to support corporate headquarters in Bethesda, MD.
This position reports to the Assistant Controller and will play an integral role in the accounting function within our Finance department. The Accounting Manager will have visibility and interactions with our executive management group and will play a key role in the Company’s strategic vision.
Responsibilities:
Manages month-end close process within corporate due dates including:Accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reportsPrepare and review general journal entries Ensure timely preparation and review of monthly account reconciliationsAssesses revenue recognition for new contracts and ensures appropriate accounting treatmentLiaison between accounting and operations executivesAssist in corporate development activities including M&A due diligence, deal structure and negotiation, and integration of acquired entitiesSupports various audits (financial statement, jurisdictional, bank) and manages the process in order to minimize financial statement adjustments and audit costsResearch accounting literature for complex transactions and assist with white papers to support appropriate accounting treatmentDemonstrates support for corporate goals and objectives and actively participates in other corporate initiativesManage and develop an international team of accounting professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and training as needed QualificationsEducation and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA certification a plus Must have at least 3-5 years of public accounting experience, Big 4 a plusMust have strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP) and understanding of ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with CustomersDetlek CostPoint or government contracting experience a plusPrior experience supervising a team a plusSkill Requirements:
