A well-regarded luxury resort in Carlsbad, CA, is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee financial reporting, ensure compliance, and drive operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: As the Accounting Manager, you’ll own multiple accounting functions, including: + Managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. + Producing accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for the resort. + Generating reporting for leadership, analyzing budget variances, and identifying actionable insights. + Ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations, GAAP standards, and internal controls. + Supervising and mentoring a team of accountants and encouraging professional development. + Liaising between internal teams (e.g., operations and HR) and external parties (e.g., auditors). + Driving continuous improvements to processes, systems, and policies to enhance efficiency. Requirements + 3+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or management role. + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA designation preferred. + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel. + Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. + Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and team leadership skills. + Experience in the hospitality industry is a strong plus.
