As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient processing of accounting-related information. Management-level associates are expected to work as much of each workday as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities; for OEM associates’ overtime does apply and is calculated accordingly. Key Responsibilities: Maintain regular attendance and high standards of personal appearance and grooming in compliance with Pyramid Global Hospitality standards. Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner. Oversee the duties of General Cashier, including the reconciliation of Rooms, Food & Beverage, and House deposits. Maintain controls for all cashier banks in the hotel. Process all city ledger payments daily according to the Daily Mail Cash Receipts (DMCR). Prepare bank deposits, 'due backs,' and bank change orders according to Pyramid Global Hospitality standards. Maintain responsibility for the billing of accounts receivable daily. Conduct credit meetings twice monthly with the General Manager. Process returned checks and credit card chargebacks according to standards. Perform the Accounts Receivable Balancing function at least once each month. Voucher A&G and PT & EB invoices utilizing the Purchase Order and Checkbook Accounting procedures. Ensure that all hotel invoices are submitted to Corporate Accounts Payable weekly. Complete the income audit on a daily basis using the income audit checklist. Reconcile credit cards daily. Prepare and submit the Corporate Flash Report on specified dates. Monitor Guest Services and Night Audit agents' work for proper accounting procedures. Oversee the training of all Night Auditors in their accounting-related responsibilities. Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure all new hire paperwork is submitted in a timely manner. Produce weekly productivity reports and compute worked hours for payroll compilation. Ensure associates are always attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, employees, and management. Apply state and local laws affecting payroll, wage & hour, taxes, etc. Maintain a professional working relationship with managers, employees, and other departments. Attend weekly staff meetings and provide training on a rotational basis. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Maintain and operate hotel systems according to Pyramid Global Hospitality Standards. Perform any other duties as requested by the General Manager. Proficient in Windows operating systems and the ability to manipulate and troubleshoot spreadsheets. Supervisory experience required. Ability to convey information and ideas clearly. Effective problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations. Ability to assimilate complex information from disparate sources. Proficient in financial information and basic arithmetic functions. This position is a Salary Non Exempt 45 Manager: Given that the position is non-exempt, if manager works over 40 hours in a week, they would be eligible for overtime pay at 1.5 times their regular hourly rate. For instance, if you work 45 hours in a week, the 5 hours over 40 would be paid at the overtime rate. A non-exempt manager working 45 hours per week would earn their regular hourly wage ($20-$26) for the first 40 hours and an overtime rate (1.5 times the regular hourly wage) for the additional 5 hours.
