Toll Brothers, America's Luxury Home Builder, has an immediate opportunity for a top-notch Accounting Manager - SEC Reporting to join our fast-paced and exciting accounting team at our corporate office in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. 

 

What is the opportunity?

e are seeking a talented, motivated and experienced professional to join our Controllership team as the Manager, Corporate Accounting - SEC Reporting. This is a key role within the company that reports to the Vice President, Corporate Accounting and works closely and collaboratively with different functions across the organization. We are a fast-paced, energetic, and growing team that offers a great opportunity for someone interested in further developing their career. We are looking for a motivated colleague to manage a team of accounting professionals, to assist in streamlining both the financial close and SEC reporting processes. This professional will also support Controllership's goal to continue to implement process efficiencies throughout the department. This role offers monthly and quarterly reporting tasks as well as meaningful ad-hoc projects.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

Oversee and coordinate various month-end closing activities including balance sheet reconciliations and flux analyses.Analyze accounting transactions for accuracy, investigate discrepancies and take corrective action when necessary.Review & prepare schedules and support for quarterly reviews and year-end audits. Respond to interim review and year-end audit requests from internal and external auditors.Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and equity statements, ensuring accuracy and completenessOversee the preparation of and review of our captive insurance company’s financial statements and related audit support, including partnering with our Risk Management department.Prepare and assist in filing timely and accurate SEC reports, including XBRL requirements, (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and other SEC filingsCollaborate with other departments such as Legal, Tax, Treasury, Finance and Investor Relations to coordinate the preparation and review of quarterly earnings materials.Maintain a thorough understanding of SEC rules and regulations associated with adoption of new accounting standards and related compliance requirementsSupports and provides inputs to the annual Proxy StatementMonitor the changing business environment and emerging risks for financial reportingPerform accounting research and peer reviews as needed to strengthen knowledge on accounting topics and industry viewsMaintain and enhance SOX appropriate control environment by adhering to requirements, updating documentation, and providing recommendations as appropriate.Identify and recommend opportunities to design and implement process efficiencies. Develop processes/systems to drive efficiencies and measure, evaluate, and improve departmental and individual productivity.Assist with the implementation of new systems, internal controls and documentation procedures to enhance accounting processes.Optimize the capabilities of the accounting organization by assessing talent and coaching and mentoring team members.Provide technical support on the treatment of accounting issues, interpretation and implementation of new accounting standards and compliance with US GAAP.Support management in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting, analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned.Provide oversight, guidance and coaching to develop a team of high-performing professionals that add-value and contribute to Company’s success
