Description
We are searching for a proficient Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead our client's accounting department. In this role, you will oversee the accounting operations of a growing mid-size company located in Houston, Texas, 77020, United States. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective management of AP, AR, Payroll, and other accounting functions.
Key responsibilities:
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll activities
• Facilitate month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Collaborate with the external CPA firm to manage tax matters
• Prepare and present financial statements to stakeholders
• Manage the accounting of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
• Conduct annual inventory and ensure accurate records are maintained
• Utilize accounting software systems for efficient operations
• Ensure compliance with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning protocols
• Conduct auditing activities to ensure financial compliance
• Handle billing functions and resolve any discrepancies.
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting lead, managerial or supervisory role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is a must
• Knowledge of Concur expense management software
• Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Prior experience in Auditing
• Familiarity with Billing Functions
• Experience in conducting Annual Inventory
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is preferred.
