Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in the Construction/Contractor industry based in HONOLULU, Hawaii. This role primarily involves leading our finance department, ensuring the accuracy of all financial information, preparing financial statements, and aiding in financial decision-making processes. Responsibilities: • Accurately process financial data and maintain financial records. • Supervise the daily operations of the accounting department. • Collaborate with project managers for efficient budget tracking and project cost management. • Handle payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions. • Develop and implement efficient systems for tax preparation and auditing. • Manage a team of accountants or bookkeepers. • Coordinate with external auditors and handle annual audits. • Implement financial controls and processes to minimize risk. • Take an active role in the budgeting and forecasting process. • Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounting Manager or Supervisor role, preferably in the Construction/Contractor industry. • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems to manage financial data and transactions. • Experience with Concur software for travel, expense and invoice management. • Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems for streamlining business processes. • Demonstrated ability to oversee all Accounting Functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. • Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to maintain financial records and cash flow. • Experience in Auditing, ensuring financial statements and records are accurate and meet standard accounting practices. • Proficiency in overseeing Billing Functions, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
