Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in the oil and gas industry, located in Houston, Texas, 77027, United States. As an Accounting Manager/Supervisor, you will support our corporate controller and prepare for a leadership role in the future. You will be pivotal in a variety of areas, including month-end closing, bank and cash reconciliations, audit support, general ledger work, and financial analysis. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the entire month-end closing process • Execute bank and cash reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency • Provide substantial support during audits • Carry out general ledger work, focusing on reconciling accounts receivable, accounts payable, and aging • Prepare financial statements and ensure they accurately reflect the company's financial status • Conduct financial analysis to assist in business decisions • Leverage strong Excel skills for effective and efficient data management and reporting • Contribute to the team's growth and development by utilizing your experience and desire to progress into leadership • Utilize WolfePak software for specific accounting functions • Work towards CPA certification or utilize existing CPA credentials to enhance role performance. Requirements • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or Supervisor • Proficient in Month End Close procedures • Ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation effectively • Expertise in Account Reconciliation • Proficiency in using WolfePak software • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting • Excellent leadership and team management skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Detail-oriented with high levels of accuracy • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
