Description Lindsey McCarthy with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting/Payroll Specialist in Williamsville, New York. In this role, you will be expected to manage, process, and maintain payroll and accounting records for our team, ensuring accuracy and compliance at all times. Responsibilities: • Ensure that weekly payroll for all employees is processed and managed accurately, adhering to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations. • Maintain and manage all payroll records, including but not limited to wages, deductions, garnishments, and tax filings. • Assist in reconciling payroll-related accounts and contribute to month-end and year-end close processes. • Support the accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions when required. • Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws, certified payroll reporting, and union requirements if applicable. • Collaborate with the HR team to manage employee benefits, track PTO, and make necessary payroll adjustments. • Prepare and distribute tax-related documents such as W-2s, 1099s. • Provide necessary payroll documentation and reports during audits. • Use your knowledge of account reconciliation, Microsoft Excel, and QuickBooks to perform your duties effectively. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required • Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) is preferred • Must possess strong Data Entry skills • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is essential • QuickBooks knowledge is a must • Certification in Payroll is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
