Accounting & Regulatory Finance Head

 

Key responsibilities/What you do: 

 

The Accounting & Regulatory Finance Head is responsible for the financial governance for Allianz Partners Global business Solutions (AZGBS):

 

Manage the communication of financial reports, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders like senior management, tax authorities, regulators, and external auditors. Represent legal entities in financial matters to external parties, ensuring accurate and complete financial outputs. Act as a people-oriented leader, fostering teamwork, collaboration, and a solution-focused mindset while developing and empowering teams and individuals. Make a significant impact within the organization, embracing Allianz Partners' legacy and driving transformation with flexibility and innovation. Exercise prudent judgment in minimizing risks related to tax and accounting principles. Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and communicate financial matters clearly and effectively. Key tasks/What you bring:

 

Ensure all financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and yearly) are prepared and disclosed on time, adhering to internal deadlines and regulatory requirements, including accounting, tax, and legal standards. Oversee the consistency and appropriateness of accounting practices across the Finance Factory, ensuring compliance with internal corporate and finance rules. Facilitate and manage requests from local authorities and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and compliance. Conduct financial analysis to ensure the quality and reliability of financial reports across the sub-region. Oversee balance sheet accounts, ensuring proper reconciliation by Finance Factory for accurate financial statements. Regularly review profit and loss accounts to ensure proper bookkeeping, supporting the accuracy of financial statements and profitability. Assist in the timely and accurate delivery of tax submissions, identifying potential risks for the company and managing tax audits as needed. Manage external audits, ensuring timely and accurate input, and develop new controls to strengthen the control environment. Oversee internal audits, ensuring findings are addressed promptly and that new controls, rules, and guidelines are implemented to mitigate risks. Encourage communication and collaboration with other teams, fostering a solution-focused mindset across the organization. Assist in implementing Group initiatives within the sub-region and drive local transformation aligned with the company’s strategy.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

Extensive relevant experience in a Management Accounting / Financial Controller role. High level experience in developing reports reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances and financial results. Highly competent in developing and co-ordinating budget and forecasting processes. Demonstrated ability to provide strategic advice on financial and planning. Demonstrated ability to manage all taxation accounting and statutory accounts preparation and reporting, ensuring compliance with current legislation and standards. Demonstrated ability to co-ordinate the maintenance and development of financial accounting systems. Highly competent accounting skills as core requirement, including up to date IFRS knowledge base. Ability to interpret high level statistical and accounting information and offer commercially savvy advice on that basis.
