Accounting & Reporting Assistant

Your mission: In this role, you will validate, account, and report financial transactions, including invoices, intercompany operations, and balance sheet monitoring, while ensuring compliance with internal policies, legal requirements, US GAAP, Local GAAP, SwissCo standards, and the Global Compliance System (GCS). Additionally, you will also support audits, address supplier and intercompany inquiries, and ensure accurate financial analysis and reporting. Responsibilities Your day to day with us: Validate and process invoices for Other Goods & Services from external suppliers, ensuring compliance with internal and legal requirements for 3 Portuguese legal entities. Ensure proper VAT accounting, withholding taxes, and seizures over payments to meet Purchase-to-Pay statutory obligations. Perform accounting, analysis, and reporting of Intercompany (InterCo) transactions for corporate reporting, ensuring adherence to USGAAP, local GAAP, and SwissCo standards. Reconcile InterCo transactions, including acquisitions of finished goods, invoice matching, elimination calculations, and payments (netting). Address and resolve issues with suppliers and intercompany partners, providing timely responses to inquiries. Analyze finished goods inventory sales to counterparts and ensure accurate reporting. Monitor balance accounts, identify risks, and support balance sheet reviews. Assist with corporate and statutory audits by providing clarifications and documentation, while ensuring compliance with the Global Compliance System (GCS) and testing key controls annually. Qualifications What will you need to succeed? At least 1 year of experience in Accounting, Finance, or a similar role. Knowledge of Portuguese GAAP. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel. Strong analytical and technical skills. Fluency in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a plus.
