Salary: around £85,000 - £90,000  (national), £100,000 - £115,000  (London)

An exciting 12-month secondment opportunity has arisen within the Watch project, integrating AIGL into the Finance Function.

This role will lead the Accounting Integration and Reporting deliveries of the workstream.

All Aviva sites in the UK will be considered for this role.

A bit about the job:

The Accounting & Reporting Integration Senior Manager will lead the integration of accounting systems and processes from AIGL to Aviva.  This will include:

·        Policy Admin system replumbing

·        General Ledger migration

·        IFRS 17 processing

·        Banking migration

All delivered within a robust risk and control environment. 

The role holder will also lead the Reporting deliveries of the workstream, ensuring that the AIGL contribution to Group reporting on IFRS 17 and Solvency UK is delivered to the agreed Working Day timetable, to suitable quality and using agreed processes and methodology.

You will oversee accounting processes delivered by the team across the area(s) of responsibility, including month-end and year-end close, reconciliations and journal entries, ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, reports and analyses.

You will collaborate with other departments to ensure that financial data is accurate and integrated with other systems, oversee financial audits, prepare relevant documentation and respond to auditor requests.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

·        Accountant with significant post qualification experience in insurance

·        Change delivery experience in financial services is essential for the role

·        Ability to work with ambiguity and across a changing process landscape

·        Awareness of risk and control environment through change

·        Great communicator across teams and with senior stakeholders
