12-month FTC

Location: London, York, Bristol

Salary: circa £90,000 (national),  £110,000 (London) 

This is a great role for an Accounting and Reporting Manager to join the AIGL Finance team to support either the Financial Operation and GL Close processes or the Reporting of the financial results.

The roles will also support the transition from AIGL processes and systems to Aviva equivalents. Working to embed best practice and supporting a strategic Change programme.

You will oversee financial reporting activities for the team, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations and providing insights into financial performance to senior management.

Please note that experience in the Insurance sector is essential to be successful within this role.

A bit about the job:

The Accounting & Reporting Manager will analyse financial data to identify trends and patterns, identify areas for improvement, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.

You will oversee accounting processes delivered by the team across the area(s) of responsibility, including month-end and year-end close, reconciliations and journal entries, ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, reports and analyses.

The Accounting & Reporting Manager will collaborate with other departments to ensure that financial data is accurate and integrated with other systems, oversee financial audits, prepare relevant documentation and respond to auditor requests.

You will need to keep up-to-date on industry developments and regulatory requirements, provide thought leadership on emerging trends and best practices, manage the training program, report on and present financial accounting and reporting efforts to senior management, lead and manage various projects and initiatives as required.
