The role
Reporting to the Accounting Manager in our Finance department, you will be focusing on Accounts Receivables for Belgium as Accounting Senior Specialist.
Key activities/responsibilities you will be in charge of:
Perform monthly closing activities for AR subledger Perform reconciliations and analysis to comply with the internal audit Monitor and control the invoicing processes Management of mutuality (reconcile payments; analyze aging) Support the activities related to disputes resolution Collaborate with the sales department to manage the invoice and payment processes Exploit financial opportunities to improve the cash collection Be the point of contact with ING for what concerns direct factoring Other financial and administrative tasks
The key capabilities for this role:
You hold a Bachelor/Master’s degree in the Economic field, or equivalent by experience You have gained 5 or more years of experience in the field of Accounts Receivables You are proficient in common ERP systems (Oracle and/or Salesforce will be considered a plus) You confidently master Excel You must be fluent in English plus either Dutch or French, with a good working knowledge of the other language. IFRS/IAS knowledge is an advantage You pay attention to details You are proactive and willing to work in a fast-paced environment You have advanced analytical skills and deliver high quality work You demonstrate a proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills You are eager to learn and dare to take initiative to take the department to a higher level You are a team player and are willing to share experience and best practices You have a sound knowledge of Belgian finance regulation
