Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Augusta, Maine. This role falls within the financial services industry and involves utilizing various accounting software systems. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance • Utilize accounting software systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency • Carry out billing functions, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing • Collaborate with the team to drive accounting functions and improve financial processes • Utilize ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, Concur, and ERP systems for various accounting tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is necessary for this role to manage and interpret financial data effectively. • Familiarity with all Accounting Functions is required to maintain financial records and ensure compliance with established policies and regulations. • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is essential to manage outgoing payments and maintain good relationships with vendors. • Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is needed to ensure timely collection of payments and maintain accurate financial records. • Auditing skills are required to verify the accuracy of financial documents and identify any discrepancies or potential issues. • Knowledge of Billing Functions is necessary to generate invoices, track payments and manage financial records accurately.
