Description Robert Half is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling essential accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining excellent financial records to support the organization’s operations. Key Responsibilities: + Process and verify accounts payable (AP) invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors. + Maintain accounts receivable (AR) records, including generating invoices and monitoring collections. + Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure balance accuracy and identify discrepancies. + Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. + Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by compiling relevant data and documents. + Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. + Work with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and implement best practices. + Manage and assist in audits by providing relevant financial documentation and analysis. Requirements + Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. + 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience + Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel. + Advanced certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus. + Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. + Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment. + Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with teams.
