Job Description:
Leading civil engineering firm Poulos & Bennett is actively seeking an Accounting Specialist for immediate employment in the Orlando, Florida office. This position is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical support to the organization. The candidate will be responsible for processing a high volume of vendor invoices and vendor payments while ensuring compliance with policy and procedure.
Responsibilities:
Provide Accounts Receivable and HR assistance as needed:Payroll processingBank reconciliationPreparation and processing of invoices and contract documentsClient and sub-consultant contract maintenanceAssistance with project setup/budgetingAccounts receivable collection assistanceAssistance with research & resolution of client questionsReviewing and, if necessary, correcting accounts payable editsResearching any aged payablesFiling and maintaining accounting recordsPreparing and managing 1099’sReconciling corporate credit card, and entering it into accounting softwareEvaluate and maintain annual budgetsIssue checks/EFT payments consistent with the accounts payable payment scheduleManaging vendor relations such as:Responding to vendor inquiriesMaintaining vendor recordsObtaining vendor W9 & COI Interacting with vendors to obtain accurate general leger coding and resolve payables-related problemsSkills and Abilities:
5 year+ of accounting experience requiredHigh school diplomaProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience in Land Development, Engineering, or Construction environment is a plusAbility to multi-task and work effectively in a deadline driven environmentExperience with Deltek, Vantagepoint and/or Deltek Vision software preferredWho We Are:
