SALARY: $79,200-$94,050 bonus eligible

Role Summary:

The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for preparing and analyzing monthly accounting reports, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and ensuring the accuracy of accounting transactions. This role requires timely and precise ad hoc and routine reporting, as well as monitoring and tracking financial data. Key responsibilities include supporting local and corporate teams during month-end closing processes, assisting management with special projects that involve data gathering, projections, and presentations, and effectively delegating responsibilities. The analyst will also be involved in resource management, training peers, and testing system functionalities to ensure smooth implementation.

 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Preparing monthly accounting analysis, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and accounting transactions. Provide ad hoc and routine reporting, analysis, tracking & monitoring in a timely and accurate manner. Support local and corporate teams with month-end closing processes. Assist management in special project work often involving information gathering, compilation, projections, and presentation, delegation of responsibilities, resource management, training of peers, system requirement/functionality, testing and implementation. Provide accounting support and analysis to various Business Units. Assist in adherence of compliance to company and division policies, internal controls, and standards. Understanding of internal and external standards, controls, and regulations, (IFRS, SOX/MICs, etc.). Participate in process improvement projects as part of a finance/accounting team.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 

Bachelor’s degree required - Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience Accounting experience, including internships, a plus Experience with MS Office suite including intermediate/advanced proficiency with Excel Experience analyzing business (financial or accounting) results of complex accounts Working knowledge of SAP System or similar ERP system Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service mindset and dedicated team orientation Ability to set priorities; manage multiple projects, and attention to detail Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and interpret data Leadership skills to interact with other internal department management including senior management from finance/accounting or related groups
