Accounting Specialist
Description We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team located in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. This role is an opportunity to work in the finance industry, where you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including invoice processing, data entry, and account reconciliation. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity that requires particular skills in accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Responsibilities • Handle the processing of invoices in a timely and accurate manner • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure all financial transactions are executed and documented in accordance with company policies • Perform data entry tasks, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data • Carry out account reconciliation tasks, identifying and resolving any discrepancies • Manage billing processes, ensuring clients are billed correctly and payments are received on time • Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and data analysis • Regularly review customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments • Work collaboratively with the finance team to optimize financial operations and processes. Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processing • Knowledgeable in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) • Familiar with Billing procedures and systems • Ability to perform accurate Data Entry tasks • Capable of managing and processing Invoices • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel for financial tasks • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines • Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations • Experience with accounting software is a plus.
