Job Description
Prepare and maintain financial and business transaction data, applying accepted procedures, and generate reports to ensure accurate accounting records. Perform complex clerical and entry-level accounting activities, including reconciling credit card statements, administering cost and job codes, and compiling and checking source documents.
ResponsibilitiesReconcile credit card statements.Administer cost code and job codes in accounting and time-keeping systems.Compile and check source documents, such as vouchers, invoices, purchase orders, and cash receipts, for completeness and accuracy, and prepare reports.Verify and post details of business transactions to appropriate ledgers and journals, and total accounts.Compute and record charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, rentals, and similar items.Prepare computer input forms for processing of transaction data.Compare printouts against source documents and journal entries to verify accuracy, and prepare input forms to reconcile errors.Periodically review records and subsequent computer printouts to balance accounts and identify suspense items or delinquent accounts requiring further action.Assist in balancing accounts by running tapes, proofreading, etc.; prepare summary of balances, cost information, or other reports as requested for supervisor's use in preparing financial statements.Proofread and post operations progress or other reports and make a monthly summary or recap of such reports as needed.Type vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records.Reconcile bank statements.Audit and proof accounting or other reports for clerical accuracy and conformance to departmental, county, and state procedures.Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits.Essential SkillsAccounts payableThree-way matchingInvoice processingPurchase orderAccounts receivableData entryADP or JD Edwards experience (preferred)Work Environment
You will work in a nice, new office with a personal chef who cooks healthy meals to order. The accounting team consists of 10 members, and the company offers great opportunities for growth.
