We provide land acquisition, geospatial mapping, data management, web-based GIS, community relations, land feasibility studies, and permitting services. Canacre’s clients include developers, large scale service providers, and government entities that are involved in the planning and development of energy projects, rights of way, resources, and infrastructure across Canada and the United States. Canacre works on large-scale wind and solar power projects, high-voltage transmission lines, pipeline projects, municipal roads projects, and groupings of cellular towers and rooftop antennas.

The Accounting Specialist provides financial support to Canacre through preparing and maintaining records, files and processes in order to enable smooth and compliant financial operations. The Accounting Specialist’s main responsibilities will include full cycle accounts payable, invoicing, corporate credit card administration and reconciliation.
In addition, your role will be to:
+ Compile and reconcile invoices.
+ Assist with client payment postings.
+ Manages and administers all corporate credit cards.
+ Assist with monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
+ Review employee expense reports and ensure receipts are in compliance with company policy.
+ Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
+ Process vendor payments and wire transfers.
+ Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
Qualifications:
+ Post Secondary education in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field is required
+ Minimum 2 years of professional accounting experience is required
+ Experience with ERP systems, specifically Deltek Vantagepoint is considered an asset
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
+ Strong Microsoft Excel skills
+ Able to filter through high volume of data and transactions quickly and efficiently
+ Strong attention to detail
