What You'll Do

As a (Temporary) Accounting Specialist, you will be part of the Mexico Finance team, supporting and delivering on Finance Operations and Accounting activities, providing timely and accurate information crucial for Decision support and Statutory Compliance. You should have experience in financial accounting and reporting, reconciliations, month end close, external and internal audit processes and accounting systems.This role is set as temporary for 6 Months and is an amazing opportunity to be part of a Global organization, leader and pioneer in business strategy across geographies.

 

Accounting

Manage the day-to-day accounting processes, including accurate recording and review of revenue and expenses, general ledger management, month-end accruals, revaluation and other financial activities in compliance with Mexico GAAP, as well as BCG internal accounting practices.Ensure that all assigned balance sheet and expense accounts are reconciled, balanced, and maintained in accordance with company proceduresReview, reconcile and analyze aspects of the monthly financial statements, inclusive of revenue, cost, allocations, accruals & pre-payments and variance analysisUtilize system reports and queries to obtain required data to address questions and/or research on issuesAsset accounting management (CapEx) depreciation and amortizationAddress external and internal audit requests related to accounting transactions, payments, and related processes.

Accounts Payable

Recording and booking incoming invoices, assist vendors and internal staff with all questions concerning accounts payable.Ongoing Accounts Payable Management, ensure invoices meet local tax and internal accounting rules, schedule payments including office rents, Amex meeting card reimbursement, insurance and any other disbursement required.Reconcile Amex cards and coordinate with responsible individuals to obtain necessary documentation, approvals, and invoices.Prepare weekly Expense Reports payment batch, reconcile bank accounts and any open item related to employee reimbursements.Entering and updating supplier information, maintaining our supplier contract database up to date.Support preparation of monthly VAT informative return. Ensure VAT (tax) discrepancies related to expense reimbursements are fixed and appropriate reports reviewed.

 



What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, with experience and strong interest in accounting concepts.+2 years prior experience, preferable in a professional services firm environment.Fluency in English, both spoken and written.Proficiency in MS Office, in particular Excel skills a must (ability to design, enhance, and maintain spreadsheets and databases).Good judgment, strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative styleTimely, accurate and independent work style, as well as commitment to get the job done.Strong teamwork skills, flexibility, adaptive, and attitude to work in a dynamic, international, and fast-paced environment.Experience with Oracle and/or SAP.

This role currently requires 5 days a week in office presence. This in-office plan allows for critically important learning, collaboration, and networking with colleagues.
