Description We are seeking an Accounting Specialist/Billing Accountant for a contract position with our insurance team based in Plano, Texas. The role primarily involves managing customer billing operations with a focus on Direct Bill processing. The chosen candidate will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our operations, handling high-volume transactions, and contributing to a dynamic team environment. This is a 2-month contract position. 100% ONSITE in Plano, Texas. Accounting Specialist/Billing Accountant (contract position): Responsibilities: + Direct Bill Processing (Manual Entry): Accurately log direct bill statements into system by retrieving data from carrier portals. + Statement Building: Generate billing statements and input charges into the system for individual client policies. + Support Cash-Based Billing Operations: Reconcile and process approximately 450 billing statements per month for the Dallas office, equating to 5,000 individual transaction lines monthly. + Carrier Portal Management: + Access insurance carrier portals to retrieve billing statements. + Reach out to carriers to obtain missing statements or resolve billing discrepancies. + Optional Technical Skills: + Utilize formatted Excel spreadsheets to upload carrier statements into EPIC Agency Management System (required skill). + Finalize and associate direct download statements from carriers with payments (required skill).
