Accounting Specialist (Maternity Leave)

Position Type: Temporary (Maternity Leave Coverage) 

Part of the Trotter & Morton Group of Companies, Trotter & Morton Facility Services provides 24/7 preventive and predictive mechanical system maintenance and repair to condominiums, commercial, and institutional buildings.

We are currently looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team!

 

Roles and Responsibilities

Take care of the data entry associated with billing, job costing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable Assist with various timesheet and payroll functions Answer customer calls and dispatch technicians Communicate with the Manager, Service Technicians and Customers on a daily basis Provide support to business systems, accounting, and any other department as needed Obtain customer payment information File all appropriate paperwork Perform other duties as required

 

Required Skills and Abilities 

Ability to learn new software with proficiency of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Excel Professional, approachable and customer-service oriented Strong work ethic and positive team attitude Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy Good mathematical and analytical skills Strong oral and written communication skills Solid understanding of all aspects of A/R processes and practices

 

Required Education and Experience 

Accounts payable and receivable data entry experience Customer Service experience Applying credits and debits experience Accounting Degree or Diploma considered an asset
