Accounting Supervisor
Description We are searching for an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team in Napa, California. The successful candidate will oversee banking and cash management functions and accounts payable, ensuring efficient management of financial resources. This role also involves optimizing liquidity, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining compliance with all debt requirements. Responsibilities: • Oversee all accounting operations, including bank account management, payment processing, and reconciliation. • Monitor daily cash positions and manage cash flows to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs. • Oversee accounts payable operations to ensure timely and accurate payments for all vendors, ensuring proper coding and approvals. • Implement and maintain systems and technology to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. • Develop and maintain banking and cash management policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls. • Assist with monthly/quarterly/annual company close. • Reconcile accounts across multiple entities. • Manage prepaids and accruals for select accounts. • Produce financial statements for multiple entities. • Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including finance, accounting, and executive leadership. • Serve as a primary point of contact for external parties including banks, lending institutions, vendors, credit cards, and accounting software. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and optimize financial performance. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within the accounting field • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) • Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience in managing cash disbursements and cash flow • Ability to conduct cash flow forecasts and cash flow modeling • Knowledge of treasury activities, treasury management, and treasury operations • Expertise in bank account reconciliation and GL account reconciliation • Familiarity with prepaids and accruals • Proficiency in posting and adjusting journal entries • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and to lead and motivate a team • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
