Accounting Supervisor
Job Title: Accounting Supervisor Job Description Reporting to the US Controller, the Accounting Supervisor oversees the accounting operations and ensures compliance with controls to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the reported financial results, in line with US GAAP. This role is responsible for producing complete and accurate financial information for internal and external financial statements and managing the overall control environment. The Accounting Supervisor will collaborate with Financial Operations, Planning and Analytics, and Global Accounting/Finance teams to make decisions and implement operational, business, and control improvements. As a leader, the Accounting Supervisor will understand the business and its processes to effectively communicate financial results and lead the team in alignment with core values, fostering a customer-focused culture while achieving departmental and team objectives. Responsibilities + Provide meaningful insight and analysis of financial results to management as required. + Present monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet (BS) variance analytics to management as required. + Prepare and review account reconciliations. + Liaise with the Corporate Accounting team on month-end close and technical accounting matters. + Oversee the operations control environment by continuously monitoring and seeking improvements, leading the implementation of enhancements. + Ensure completeness and accuracy of ledgers reported under US GAAP, adhering to corporate calendar deadlines. + Lead the integration, centralization, and optimization of processes where possible. + Develop and enhance operational accounting systems, processes, and procedures. + Build partnerships with key stakeholders to address emerging issues and provide resolution advice. + Ensure that controls are designed and executed to audit standards. + Collaborate with transformation teams to manage system integration and transition as needed. + Liaise with Treasury on banking issues as required. Essential Skills + Strong accounting knowledge and experience with month-end close processes. + Thorough understanding of US GAAP. + Proficiency in financial planning and analysis. + Ability to provide meaningful insights and analysis of financial results. + Experience in preparing and reviewing account reconciliations. + Capability to oversee and improve the operations control environment. + Leadership skills to guide a team and ensure accurate financial reporting. Additional Skills & Qualifications + CPA or equivalent professional accounting accreditation. Work Environment The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, with regular interaction with various teams including Financial Operations, Planning and Analytics, and Global Accounting/Finance. The role requires a proactive approach to improving processes and systems, ensuring audit-standard controls, and managing system integrations and transitions. The dress code is business casual, and the role may involve occasional travel for meetings and consultations.
