The Opportunity:
We have an immediate opening for an Accounting Supervisor in our Abbott Park, IL location.
As the Accounting Supervisor, Abbott Nutrition (AN) Corporate Financial Services (CFS) Record to Report (RTR) you will be supporting ANHQ from an Actuals reporting perspective providing a leading role in month, quarter and year ended closing preparation of Financials due both the AN controller group and Corporate Financial Reporting (CFR). This includes preparing journal entries in SAP and HFM including all required Cash Flow Webform submissions, as well as account balance reconciliations and other analysis supporting the Nutrition division.
In addition, this position performs all accounting related to AN Restructuring events including journals to establish reserves, tracking of severance charges and Specified reporting to CFR. This position also is the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for AN Finance supporting CCI/HFM from an administrative and trouble-shooting perspective.
The Accounting Supervisor will assist ANHQ FP&A team with various reporting requests, including Quarterly Revenue Recognition and biannual US Domestic Shipping Lag Validation.
What You'll Work On:
Supervise, develop, and coach direct-reporting 2 finance professionals.
Track and report on product flows from OUS manufacturing sites, and post TCGM credits to US and Puerto Rico/Caribbean entities.
Be the liaison between Accounting, Shared Services and Finance teams.
Prepare and build AN Controller Profit Review package.
Prepare and build Monthly Reporting Package due CFR.
Build Supplemental Reporting Package (SRP), and Supplemental & Restructuring Rollforward packages due CFR.
Organize, prepare, and build Year Ended SRP package due CFR.
Prepare Quarterly A/R Reserve Rollforward due CFR.
ANHQ Journal entry submission in SAP & HFM.
Lead for AN Restructuring Accounting
Lead for AN Specified Reporting.
Track and report on product flows from OUS manufacturing sites, and post TCGM credits to US and Puerto Rico/Caribbean entities.
AN IDV (interdivisional charges) Oversight and Business Contact
ANPD Revenue Reporting, various as discussed in job description.
SOX, biannual US Domestic Shipping Lag Validation
Utilize MS-Office, SAP, Cadency, CCI/HFM (read/write), SmartView Excel add-in, Host Analytics Core & Spotlight Excel-add-in, Cognos, Adobe Pro (for package builds)
Maintain Standard Operating Procedures
Ensure compliance with internal controls and provide support for SOX and internal audit.
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including CFMs.
Elevate issues and recommend solutions.
Operate independently within a varied and changing scope of responsibilities under some supervision.
Complete special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance and/ or Business.
Minimum 5 years for combined Finance/Accounting experience required.
Strong analytical problem solving, variance analysis skills and attention to details.
Effective communication and prioritization of assignments.
Ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in SAP, HFM, Microsoft Office.
Experience with month-end close/reporting activities for Business Unit desirable.

The base pay for this position is $83,000.00 – $166,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
