What Accounting contributes to Cardinal Health
Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.
Accounting establishes and maintains accounting policies and controls, completes technical research, safeguards the organization's assets and ensures accuracy of accounting and financial records in accordance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities
This role will be supporting the WaveMark businessDocument current state accounting processes including financial postings occurring in the Expandable's systemIdentify process improvements and control opportunities within documented processesContribute to the development and enhancement of accounting policies, ensuring alignment with GAAP requirements for revenue recognition, lease accounting, and software as a serviceReview contracts/amendments with new provisions, deliverables, or pricing models to determine appropriate accounting treatmentPartner with cross-functional teams including Finance, Sales, and Operations to understand contracting, invoicing, and inventory processes and communicate how application of accounting policies impact forecasting/monthly resultsCreate improved subledger schedules/tracking procedures for deferred revenue, unbilled revenue, and deferred contract costsReview and improve existing balance sheet reconciliations including transition of reconciliations to BlacklineAssist with review and execution of month-end close activitiesSupervise work performed by outsourced accounting personnel
