MISSION / SUMMARY:

As an Accounting Supervisor reporting to the Controller you will be providing the financial input to our business decision making with the aim of maximizing long-term value, cash flows and shareholder return at Americas Foodservice Division. This position will support our Visalia, CA converting facility.  The ideal candidate will have three to five years in an Accounting / Finance role and will provide accurate and timely financial reporting to ensure we meet our business objectives.  In addition, this position will offer the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams to analyze data, provide management with a fair assessment of key projects including how we can optimize it in a way that helps to generate superior business results for the company; as well as support continuous improvement activities to achieve world-class financial reporting standards.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following

 

Works under the Plant Controller in preparation and analysis of finance operating results, compiles KPMs for plant management, prepares both operating and annual budgets.
Supervises up to three employees that entail conducting one-on-ones and annual reviews, providing periodic training, encouraging engagement, delegating daily duties and promoting a safe work environment.
Maintains documentation for assets under construction as well as the Fixed Asset system.
Validates and monitors all inventory transactions and cycle counts
Maintains product cost system
Perform journal entries
Analyze data, draw conclusions and make recommendations based on findings

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

3-5 years’ experience in Accounting
Supervisory experience    
 

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting
 

SKILLS:

Excellent accuracy
 

SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work early mornings, nights, and/or weekends as necessary during key accounting periods and be punctual.
Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.
 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.

Pay Range:   $69,825.00 - $93,135.00
