Accounting Supervisor

The Supervisor is a key member of the RTR Team. The person in this role is responsible for leading all the operational and performance aspects of the accounting team.  

Ensure a high level of employee engagement on their team.Lead and develop the assigned team within the Accounting teamEnsure training requirements and plans for new/or existing team members.Responsible to ensure timely and quality completion of period closing, account reconciliations and other general accounting processes.Ensure resolution of complex accounting issues and implementation of process controls.Report and plan operational metrics to Management on a regular basis.Communicate risks and opportunities to Manager.Drive opportunities to improve, automate, simplify, or standardize processes to create an environment of continuous improvement.Work with Internal and external audit teams to review and enforce policies.Review and approve Journal entries, account reconciliations, SOX controls and financial statements as assigned.Ensures critical business processes are well documented and communicated to facilitate effective and efficient execution.Build strong relationship with key stakeholders.Play a key role in the work migration activities from other Stryker locations, including knowledge transfer and documentation activities.Performs other related work as assigned by management.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree (Required) in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field with a strong accounting background. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Intermediate level: PivotTables, VLOOKUP, macros, charts, formulas, etc.)English level B2+SAP systems knowledge is a plus.3+ years of relevant experience as Team Lead or Supervisor of business-to-business RTR teams.Experience of working in a shared service center across a global /large organization/ matrixed international company (preferably American or Multinational company). Working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX is a plus.
