Accounting Supervisor - AR/Inventory

The Accounting Supervisor’s primary responsibilities will be to manage a multi-function team of employees, ensuring the work is completed effectively, efficiently, and in line with company goals and policies. Other duties will involve various monthly meetings, overseeing SOX controls, and providing various reports for management.


 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Planning and organizing deadlines, assigning tasks and setting priorities for each teamReview various monthly reports for each teamAttend various weekly and monthly meetingsPrepare various reports and updates for upper managementReview balance sheet account reconciliationsReview monthly AR netting processMonthly AR Allowance reviewJournal entry reviewReview/prepare monthly expense reporting and analysisReview all reverse/rebills processed by AR AccountantsAssist owner relations with owner inquiriesReview escheat and stale date check process for AR & NonopProvide guidance and feedback related to team goals ensuring they are in line with company culture and valuesEvaluating and documenting of team and individual performanceAssist in organizing team events to drive positive culture and collaboration

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (BBA or BS) in accounting or an equivalent degreeAt least five (5+) years of progressive accounting experienceAt least five (5+) years of demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office, (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Strong working knowledge of oil and gas accounting and general accounting principles

Preferred Qualifications:

Accounts Receivable leadership experienceSAP or similar accounting software experienceExperience with an AR workflow system such as EnergylinkStrong analytical, problem solving, and collaborative skillsAbility to suggest and implement process improvements to increase effectiveness while ensuring SOX complianceCommunication skills to effectively work with all levels of an organizationProcess oriented with a strong attention to detailExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to operate both independently and as part of a team
