Role Responsibilities
Leading an Accounting team and supervising a number of staff positions, forecasting staffing needs and allocating resources to ensure a timely completion of work.
Preparing standalone financial statements and regulatory filings according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Being accountable for the regular monthly routine processes and controls: journal entries revision, trial balance analytical review, analysis of complex balance sheet accounts in accordance with GAAP and Western Union accounting policies, etc.
Working with business partners to analyze and resolve financial reporting issues.
Cooperating with auditors, tax advisors and regulators.
Providing leadership in initiating and implementing process improvements.
Role Requirements
Degree in Finance, Economics or a similar field.
4-6 years of experience in accounting.
Good understanding of what impacts financial statements and how it links with accounting, tax, treasury, and other parts of business.
Being analytically minded as well as customer focused. If you have the desire and ability to take a strong leadership role and can influence actions to create real change then this could be the perfect role.
Previous experience with Lean methodology would be an advantage.

Salary
The monthly gross base salary range is 2325 – 3750 EUR. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.
