Accounting Systems Analyst

The Accounting Systems Analyst is responsible for development, testing, scribing, processing, and maintenance within the institutions accounting information systems, including ensuring the integrity and operational excellence of the Banner Finance and HR/Payroll Modules, as well as all 3rd party systems (Jaggaer, Concur, Axiom/Syntellis, etc).  The position serves as the Office of Finance & Accounting's technical primary liaison within University Financial Excellence as a collaborative partner with Administrative Technology and Human Resources. 
This position will manage integration between Banner Finance and third-party vendors and submit customer service tickets as needed to resolve any integration issues.

- Manage and guide Office of Finance and Accounting technical functions required for efficient accounting operations and accuracy of accounting data processing.

- Maintain technical functional knowledge of Accounting information system (Banner Finance and HR Modules) and 3rd party systems (Jaggaer, Concur, Axiom/Syntellis, etc.) and make recommendations for development and implementation of solutions for optimal daily accounting operations and services.

- Responsible for investigating, problem solving, and managing routine inquiries and matters regarding accounting systems within the scope of F&A functions.

- Demonstrates foundational knowledge of system infrastructure and understand integration of accounting systems to preserve the quality of accounting data standards.

- Uphold best practices within system functions relating to university policies, compliance and regulations, and processes to meet the evolving needs of students, faculty, staff, and administrators and seek impactful efficiencies to improve end user experiences.

- Partner with Administrative Technology to perform comprehensive testing in preparation for routine implementation of system upgrades and changes that directly affect students, faculty, staff, and administrator experiences as end users.

- Initiate system improvements to streamline accounting processes through optimal system utilization and document processes for staff professional training.

- Use technical expertise to research, integrate, and perform continuous enhancements of accounting information systems to support internal and external reporting of accounting data.

- Collaborate with the Office of Assessment and Institutional Research, create, maintain, and optimize Argos reporting of accounting data information.

- Assume the role of Banner Finance Security Officer and work closely with administrative technology staff to authorize access setup and adjustments for university faculty and staff. Monitor daily feeds from Student Accounts, Development, and Payroll and troubleshoot as necessary. Maintain Banner finance security and approvals.

- Support Office of Finance & Accounting by completing other duties and special projects as assigned
