Role Overview

The provision of policy accounting and financial reporting services is a key component of FNZ EU DAC’s offering to its clients. We are currently recruiting a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of part and fully qualified accountants that fully services the Policy Accounting and Financial Reporting requirements of our client companies; and will have consolidated accounting skills and be responsible for maintaining client financial records.

The key responsibilities of the role will include:

Daily operation of the financial processes of client’s Life Offices Administration systems.

Liaise with business contacts, both internal and external, to facilitate completion of the department’s responsibilities

Control and management of cashflows between the European distributions and the client companies

Assist in the preparation of daily accounting tasks and bank reconciliations

Assist on finance operations projects

Development and continuous enhancement of policies & procedures

Assist with audits by preparing relevant documentation and reports

Assist in the preparation of client company management information requirements

Contribute to continuous improvement in the department and role

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have an excellent academic record, the ability to work in a fast-moving environment and the interpersonal skills required to interact with colleagues, clients and international financial institutions.

They should also have:

Honor’s 3rd Level qualification, preferably in finance

Obtained or in the process of obtaining an accounting technician qualification (AAT, ATI, etc.)

Excellent communication and influencing skills

A strong customer service focus

An ability to work effectively in a team environment

Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise workload and to meet deadlines on time

Computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft products, with particular focus on Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
