MAIN PURPOSE OF JOBTo perform and coordinate all tasks related to case management and billing of patients, which includes obtaining authorisation, daily billing, finalisation and rendering correct accounts. i.e. all financial risk processes for all cases done at the Renal Clinic.

Reception administration and confirmations experience Experience in Managing an account (i.e. medical aid authorisations/updates and billings) REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Patient Admin programs on the PAS system Patient Administration policies and procedures (e.g. Patient Confidentiality, Case Management Policies.) Knowledge of Medical Aid Schemes and the Private Healthcare Environment Identifying possible financial risks (e.g. authorisation of admissions/updates.) ICD and RPL coding Relevant aspects of applicable statutory acts (e.g. Medical Aid Schemes Act, Consumer Protection Act, POPIA, Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMB) legislation etc.) Computer literacy (MS Office)All applicants will be considered, with the understanding that preference will be given in accordance with the Employment Equity Plan of Mediclinic Southern Africa, as well as internal applicants/employees that meet the minimum requirements.
