Job Overview:

 

An Accounts Payable Payment Analyst is responsible for supporting the Client Accounts Payable department in various capacities to ensure timely and accurate payment processing. The Analyst will proactively work with internal and external teams on continuous product and process improvement and support with system implementations and rollouts.

 

Compensation: $22-25/hr

 

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

 

Job Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Daily upload of positive pay files, review of bank exceptions & remediation of transmission failures. Weekly review and remediation of outstanding Avid payments. Identification and remediation of duplicate payments. Reporting of daily banking activity. Daily AvidPay file upload and remediation of transmission failures. Owner of Jenark recurring voucher maintenance. Report monthly to the revenue department for client billable items. State EDD Reporting on Independent Contractors/Sole Proprietors (monthly). Assistance with reporting department metrics. Independently resolve system and accounting issues. Liaison with IT and other departments on various projects, initiatives, and process improvements impacting the Client Accounting functions, as needed and assigned. Participate in special projects as needed. Other duties as assigned. 

Skills & Qualifications:

Strong technical accounts payable knowledge and ability to incorporate that knowledge and synthesize information into actionable recommendations and analyses. High degree of business acumen and analytical and problem-solving skills. Organizational and time management skills with the demonstrated ability to prioritize, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills. Must be able to meet deadlines. Must model positive attitude and customer service skills when communicating with our clients. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ensure confidentiality between FirstService Residential, Board Members, homeowners and staff. Ability to think and work independently and as a part of a team. Use of good judgment, critical thinking, and business knowledge. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Applications, especially Excel, including a working knowledge of complex Excel actions (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups). Demonstrate integrity in work product and commitment to accuracy. High sense of urgency. Strong ability to work as a team member. Ability to master financial systems and reporting tools (Jenark and Avid Invoice preferred). Must be able to communicate on the phone. 

Education & Experience:

A high school degree or GED equivalent is required. 2+ years of accounts payable experience. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Applications, especially Word, Outlook, and strong Excel (pivot tables, vlookup).
