Responsibilities

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced accounts payable professional to play a critical role in the success of IGT’s lottery accounting organization. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Accounts Payable, the Staff Accountant - Accounts Payable will be “hands on” with direct responsibility for daily accounting and operations, month and quarter-end close and reporting, as well as being a key contributor to projects. The selected candidate must also be an advocate for teamwork and maintaining high quality work product within the department. The position must deliver exceptional customer service and build successful relationships interacting cross-functionally and managing a variety of duties as assigned

 

Responsibilities:
As the Staff Accountant within Accounts Payable, this individual will be a key contributor to the North America accounts payable operations. Hands-on responsibility for day-to-day accounting operations (including certain general accounting responsibilities, month-end close, reconciliations and reporting)
Specific activities include but are not limited to:

Review of transactions processed by shared service center Vendor maintenance Payments, including research and review of returns, requests for stop payments or other concerns Month end activities including accruals and reclasses  Partner third party service providers to resolve any invoice status concerns Support processing of high-volume property tax returns Ensure compliance with and adherence to company policies Ad hoc reporting and projects as needed, supporting the Sr. Manager of Accounts Payable Additional responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs Qualifications Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functional units and levels within the organization Strong organizational skills  Self-motivated, results-oriented with ability to work well in a diverse organization Comfortable in a fast-paced environment  Strong interpersonal skills Detail oriented


Preferred Education & Experience:

2+ years of experience in accounting, including within accounts payable  SAP experience a plus but not required  Bachelor’s degree

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $50,482 - $115,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
