Description:Lockheed Martin's Global Financial Services (GFS) organization is seeking an Accounts Payable (AP) Analyst to support our team. As an AP Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our AP processes, and will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional results. Accounts Payable is located within our larger GFS organization, which provides core finance and services to all areas of Lockheed Martin. This position will support the GFS AP Controls and Compliance Team, which is responsible for maintaining compliant processes that minimize AP risk to the corporation.

This entry-level position is responsible for supporting duplicate invoice detection and wire audits for all Lockheed Martin business areas. The AP Analyst will work independently to research and resolve complex technical and financial errors, and will be expected to adapt to new systems and processes in a constantly changing financial environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Analyst must be able to support tight deadlines on a continuous basis, delivering positive results while adhering to organizational controls, policies, and procedures.

The core work of this role is cyclical but may require adapting to changing priorities and deadlines while continuing to deliver high quality work under pressure. The AP Analyst will be required to cover critical team tasks on a rotating basis every 3rd Friday, and will be expected to work independently to drive results and meet deadlines. The typical work schedule is remote with periodic opportunities to work in the GFS office in Lakeland, FL.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Monitoring the duplicates tool to review and disposition all invoices identified as potential duplicates each day.
- Auditing wire payments daily to ensure payment accuracy.
- Supporting the AP credit recovery process.
- Providing regular backup support for other team functions, including invoice audits, fraud detection, and other key control processes.

Additional responsibilities and special projects will be assigned as needed to support the organization. The Analyst is expected to effectively perform assigned tasks while quickly adapting to various systems and processes. The ideal candidate will also identify opportunities to optimize processes, such as enhancing the duplicates tool to reduce false positive results, in order to drive efficiency and effectiveness. A continued focus on efficiently managing a fluctuating workload while staying within the boundaries of defined procedures and controls is critical to success.

Basic Qualifications:
- Accounting, Finance, or related degree, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Proven track record of accountability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
- Effective Microsoft Office skills, with an emphasis on Excel
- Quick learner with a strong aptitude for various systems, processes, and technologies and a willingness to take on backup responsibilities as needed
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse team environment
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated, with a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Proven analytical skills, with the ability to perform routine analytical tasks and identify trends and patterns

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
